Students in Demopolis Head Back to Class for a New School Year
From the West Alabama Newsroom–
Students in Demopolis City Schools head back to class Tuesday for the first day of a new school year.
Superintendent Kyle Kallhoff spent part of the day visiting schools. He says students and teachers are excited about the new school year and expectation around the district are high.
Kallhoff says this year the district is introducing new interactive touch screen televisions into the classroom.
“I hope its just one more tool to get our children engaged in instruction,” he said.
“It’s important that we make instruction and teaching relevant for what’s going on in their lives and as you know technology is going on in the lives of our students.”
The Demopolis City School district is made up of a high school, a middle school and two elementary schools. The district serves about 2300 students.
