Campaign 2016: The City Vote

Voters in many cities and towns across Alabama cast their votes in municipal elections. However, this is not an election year for the city of Montgomery.

People in Selma, Prattville, Wetumpka, Alexander City, Tallassee and Opp are just some of those who went to the polls. In some cities, there were few, if any, contested races.

If no candidate received 50% +1 in a particular race, then the top two finishers will move on to face each other in a runoff. The runoff date is Tuesday, Oct. 4.
