Lady Hornets promptly lay the sting to Texas Southern
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (bamastatesports.com) – After some initial resistance in needing extra points to take the first set, the Alabama State women’s volleyball team settled in and ran off their sixth consecutive victory and 17th win in their past 18 matches on Saturday night with a straight sets triumph over Texas Southern with a 27-25, 25-21, 25-14 victory.
It was the Lady Hornets’ 13th game this season in which it won in the minimum amount of sets and it came against the second best team in the conference.
Alabama State (18-8 overall, 15-0 SWAC) improved to 37-2 in conference matches since the 2013 season and will next travel to Huntsville to take on Alabama A&M next Saturday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m.
The Lady Tigers dropped to 16-10 overall and 12-2 in the SWAC.
