Tuskegee stays 14th in AFCA poll despite 10th game uncertainty

WACO, Texas (goldentigersports.com) —  The Tuskegee University Golden Tigers remained 14th in the week’s American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) poll, as did the top 16 teams in the country in the poll released Monday morning.
Tuskegee (8-1) is one of five teams from Super Region 2 ranked inside the top 25 this week. They trail only North Alabama (seventh), and are ahead of UNC Pembroke (16th), Newberry (19th) and Valdosta State (23rd). Two other teams from the region are receiving votes this week in the poll and they include Florida Tech (38 votes) and WIngate (five votes).

The top 10 remain the same this week with Northwest Missouri State earning the top spot with all 30 first-place votes, followed by Grand Valley State, Shepherd, Sioux Falls, Harding, California (Pa.), North Alabama, Texas A&M-Commerce, Emporia State and LIU-Post.

The next 10 include Indiana (Pa.), Midwestern State, Azusa Pacific, Tuskegee, Assumption, UNC Pembroke, Minnesota-Duluth, Ferris State, Newberry and Ashland. The top 25 is rounded out by Southwest Baptist, Fairmont State, Valdosta State, Central Missouri and Colorado School of Mines.
