Warming Trend Begins says Future Forecaster Jasmine Outlaw

FOR FRIDAY: A sun-filled sky will greet you outside all day. Our winds will shift back around from the south, so we are going to be dealing with warmer temperatures as we should see afternoon highs in the mid 60s. Overall, a fine-looking Friday.

LUNAR ECLIPSE TONIGHT: The full Moon will lose some of its usual luster on Friday night as a dusky shadow creeps across the lunar disk. It’s a penumbral lunar eclipse, visible from parts of every continent except Australia. The uneven dimming of the Moon will be easy to see if you know when to look.

WARM WEEKEND WEATHER: Our taste of winter will be short-lived as our temperatures will be noticeably warmer this weekend. Our temperatures will surge back into the upper 70s for both Saturday and Sunday afternoons. while lows will be in the upper 40s and 50s. Clouds will increase Saturday, but the day should be dry for most of us. Then, on Sunday, we will mention the chance of an isolated shower with a mix of sun and clouds, but nothing really heavy or widespread.

NEXT WEEK: Monday should be dry, but mostly cloudy and cooler with highs slipping back down into the lower 60s. We introduce rain back in the forecast midweek as it looks like a low will track along the Gulf Coast. We should see rain spread across the state from the south, but with the low tracking to our south, severe weather is not expected. Still a lot of uncertainty with the track and timing of this system, but we should see cooler temperatures and rainy conditions with highs in the 50s. Then Thursday and Friday, the rain should end, but it looks to remain cool and dry for now.

Have a Fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend!
Ryan
