Five People, Including Wetumpka Woman, Killed in Chilton County Crash

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency officials say a Wetumpka woman is one the people killed in a two-car accident in Chilton County Saturday.
37-year-old Christina Deramus is one of the five people involved in the crash. She was the sole passenger of an S-U-V that collided with a pickup truck carrying four people, that were also all killed.
They are Quentin Buford of New Iberia, Louisiana as well as Robert, Damian, and Devan Gallet, all from Billingsley.
The crash shut down Highway 22 near Clanton for several hours as authorities investigated the cause.
Authorities say the pickup tried to pass another vehicle when it slammed into the S-U-V in the opposite lane around 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
None of those involved were wearing seat belts.
