The Troy Football team’s slogan right now is Rebuild the Wall and Coach Neal Brown and his staff are hoping to start off the 2015 season with a solid foundation.
After stepping off the plane in Troy at the end of November, new head coach Neal Brown’s put together a coaching staff…and recruiting class in just a matter of weeks.
His work paid off and fans are excited about this year’s signees. Twenty-two players will join the 2015 season. Brown’s staff scored players from all across the southeast.
And it’s not just where their from, but their size that’s a good sign for fans. The majority of new Trojans are 6 feet and up and more than 200 pounds.
Colin Cahill, a Troy University Student said, “You can kind of see his SEC presence and just by the size of the players we got in I think he’s building, I don’t want to say an SEC team, but he’s building towards that his first year.”
Even with all the buzz about rebuilding the wall fans are going to have to wait until September 5th to see how the new team holds up in the first game against North Carolina State. The home opener will be September 12th against Charleston Southern.
