Cloudy & Wet Through Friday

Our cloudy and wet weather pattern will linger into Friday but it’s looking much brighter over the upcoming weekend. For now, it’s occasional showers passing through here. A disturbance moving along gulf coast states will lift northward overnight into Friday. This system is responsible for our unsettled weather but once its to our north and east, conditions will improve over…

A Rainy Thursday Ahead

Say so long to the sunny and dry weather for a few days! We have a cloudy and rainy setup coming our way Thursday into Friday. High pressure releases its grip on our weather and allows a disturbance along the gulf to head our way. An area of low pressure will track across the state leading to showers and even…

Rain Ahead !

Our rather quiet weather pattern is about to get active and remain that way through the upcoming weekend. In the mean time, Wednesday will turn out to be a fairly decent day with a sun/cloud mix along with temps topping out in the mid 70s. We head into a cloudy and wet weather setup Thursday and it lingers through late…

Rain Ahead This Week !

We have some fairly decent fall weather through midweek. High pressure over the deeps south is providing us cool nights and comfortable afternoons. Some high level moisture will continue streaming in from the west and this is producing some cloud cover. We expect to stay dry through Wednesday but the latter half of the week looks wet. A disturbance will…

Clearing & Turning Cooler

A cold front has moved south of us and now high pressure is building over the area. This should help clear the skies and cool us down for a few days. Morning temps will start out in the mid to upper 50s while mid to upper 70s will be common during the afternoon hours. Thursday and Friday will support lots…

Turning Cooler The Next Few Days

A frontal boundary just to our north is separating cool/rainy conditions from warm summer-like weather across our area. The front makes a push through here overnight. This will put us in a cooler and drier weather set up for the next several days. Morning temps will drop into the mid 50s while daytime highs manage mid to upper 70s. Another…

Showers Possible At Times

A rather active weather pattern has returned to the deep south and this will lead to some rain for our area. A cold front will move southeastward while southwest winds bring in gulf moisture to the region. Scattered showers and even a few t-storms will be possible ahead of the frontal boundary tonight into Tuesday. The front slides south of…

Fall finally arrives!

Michael is long gone and our first real fall cold front has moved through the area allowing cooler air to spill into the deep south. High pressure will build in behind the front helping keep the skies mostly clear and the air drier. Temps will fall into the 50s overnight and warm into the upper 70s to lower 80s for…

Michael Moving Away And Weakening !

Hurricane Michael continues to weaken with max sustained winds now down to 75 mph near the center.  Tropical storm force winds will be possible mainly over our southeastern counties (Pike, Macon, & Bullock). Michael will move rapidly northeastward and our weather will quickly improve overnight  and early Thursday morning. We’re finally going to get a taste of Fall on Friday….

A Windy & Wet Wednesday Ahead !

Hurricane Michael is now a CAT 3 storm and it’s heading toward the northern gulf coast. The hurricane is forecast to strengthen even more becoming a CAT 4 before landfall some where near Panama City Wednesday afternoon. For our state the greatest impacts will be over the wiregrass area. Most of our area will escape any significant threats. Although, we…
