Hot & Humid !

We see little if any change in our weather pattern the next eight days. It’s basically hot and humid with temps in the mid to upper 90s along with heat indices 100-109. Fortunately, there will be those scat’d showers and t-storms. These will help knock the heat off in spots. Categories: Daily Forecast, Video

No Major Changes Ahead

No major changes in this weather pattern we are in right now. Hot and humid throughout the day with temps in the mid to upper 90s for highs. Heat indices in the 100-106 range. Scat’d showers and t-storms will develop each afternoon. Some storms will be capable of frequent lightning, gusty winds, and heavy rainfall. Looks like this weather pattern…

Daily Storm Threat !

An active weather pattern continues through the rest of this week. A moist air mass will lead to daily afternoon showers and t-storms. Some of the storms will pack a punch with frequent lightning, gusty winds, and heavy rainfall. Where storms don’t occur, it’s hot and humid. Temps will top out in the mid to upper 90s with heat indices…

August Heat !

A moist air mass sits across the region for the start of the work week. Daytime heating will continue to ignite showers and t-storms each afternoon. Some storms will be strong and possibly severe at times. Main threats will be strong winds 50+ mph, frequent lightning, and small hail. Where storms don’t occur, you can expect hot and humid conditions…

Scat’d T-storms

Typical summertime weather conditions over the weekend. We continue hot and humid with high temps in the mid 90s but it will feel more like 98-103 heat index. Showers and t-storms will be developing each day. Most will be forming in the late afternoon heat. Some of the storms will linger into the evening hours. Looks like this weather pattern…

Summer Heat !

Typical summertime weather across the deep south. The heat is going no where anytime soon. Temps will top out in the mid 90s until further notice. Some relief from the heat does come from scat’d showers and t-storms. Not all of us will see them but there will be a few especially during the afternoon and early evening hours. Categories:…

Cooling Showers & T-storms

A disturbance just west of Alabama continues to funnel moisture our way. This is leading to bands of scat’d showers and t-storms. The rain activity will linger into the evening hours then dissipate. We go back to a mostly sunny and mainly dry Thursday but it looks like the chance for rain increases a bit Friday and over the weekend….

Scat’d Showers & T-storms

A disturbance along the gulf coast is sending moisture into the area. This moisture along with the daytime heating is leading to bands of showers/t-storms working northward. Some of the storms will produce frequent lightning and brief heavy rain. Most of the storm activity will weaken and die out during the evening hours. Looks quiet overnight but another round of…

Typical Summertime Conditions

No major changes coming our way weatherwise this week. Hot and humid with isolated afternoon showers & t-storms pretty much sums it up. Temps will top out in the mid 90s but of course the heat index will be hovering around 100+. High pressure overhead will keep us mostly sunny through most of the day. We can’t rule out a…

Summer Heat Continues

We have a hot and humid weekend ahead. Temps will continue to reach the mid 90s with heat indices 100-105. There will be the usual late afternoon showers and t-storms each day. It won’t be a washout but where they do occur you can expect brief heavy rain and frequent lightning. We don’t see the need to suggest any changes…
