Hazy, Hot, & Humid !

Looks like a hot and humid weekend setting up for the region. Temps will climb into the lower 90s both days. Moisture will be on the increase so it’s going to feel more like the upper 90s. Scat’d afternoon showers and t-storms will develop each day. These storms should knock the heat off in spots. The weekend weather pattern continues…

Chance For Rain Returns

High clouds continue to stream overhead while it’s hot and dry at the surface.  A ridge of high pressure remains a big player in our weather.  The ridge will gradually work eastward allowing a southerly flow to set up. This will provide the fuel for daytime heating to ignite scat’d showers and t-storms.  Where storms do occur the heat will…

Mild Mornings & Hot Afternoons

A sunny and dry air mass continues to dominate our weather.  The dry air allows for mild mornings but hot afternoons.  Temperatures will steadily climb with mid 90s sticking around through the weekend. The chance for rain remains slim through Friday but moisture will be on the increase as high pressure slides to the east of us. Pop up showers…

The Heat Is On!

A sunny and dry air mass has taken control of our weather until further notice. The dry air will allow for fairly mild mornings but once we get into the afternoon the heat kicks in big time. High temps will reach the 90s for the remainder of the week and up coming weekend. We could even see a few days…

The Heat Is Coming Back!

We start the workweek out cloudy and wet but that’s all about to change.  A frontal boundary is sitting to our north tonight. Ahead of this boundary we can’t rule out scat’d showers and t-storms through late evening. Another front will swing southward tomorrow and behind this boundary is much drier air.  This will set us up for a sunny…

Rain On The Way!

Our hot and mainly dry weather pattern is about to be interrupted.  A frontal boundary approaches and we get several rounds of showers and t-storms over the weekend.  A few of the storms could be strong but we don’t expect anything more than that to occur.  The main threats: lightning, small hail, gusty winds, and brief heavy rainfall.  Rainfall amounts…

Chance for rain increases!

More hot and humid conditions with little if any rain activity this evening.  Storms are firing all around us but so far limited development around us.  We get a repeat of today again tomorrow but over the weekend the chance for rain increases. Scat’d showers and t-storms will be more numerous both days. The clouds and rain activity will help…

Meteorological Summer Begins!

Meteorological summer (June,July,& August) is underway and it definitely has the look and feel of it. For the remainder of the workweek temps will top out in the low to mid 90s. Some relief from the heat will come in the form of isolated showers or t-storms. Over the upcoming weekend we see a much better chance of shower and…

Hot & Humid Until Further Notice!

We have jumped right into a summertime weather pattern and it’s sticking around for a while.  Temps will climb into the 90s for highs each day.  The only relief from the heat comes int the form of daily afternoon pop up showers/t-storms.  If you receive one you’re lucky because most spots remain dry through the work week.  Over the upcoming…

Feels Like Summer Is Underway

A very hot and humid weather pattern has settled over the region this week.  This means 90 plus degree heat along with pop up afternoon showers and t-storms.  There won’t be much change from day to day so expect more of the same. Looks like we start to see a break in the heat and a better chance for rain…
