Active Weather Pattern Continues

This active weather pattern continues for our area right through Friday.  A batch of showers and t-storms works eastward this evening.  Some of the storms will produce frequent lightning and gusty winds.  It looks quiet overnight but another round of storms moves in on Wednesday.  Clouds and rain may help hold temps down just a bit Wednesday afternoon.  This activity…

Chance For Rain Increases

A hot and humid air mass has a hold on our area early this week.  Temps will top out in the 90s and heat index values will hover around 100.  Relief from this heat will come in the form of scat’d showers and t-storms.  Some will pack a punch with frequent lightning, brief heavy rain, small hail, and gusty winds….

Hot & Humid !

Looks like this hot and humid weather pattern is sticking around through the upcoming workweek. Low to mid 90s will be possible with scat’d showers and t-storms developing each afternoon. Next weekend could be setting up to be a little milder. Model data is suggesting a frontal boundary moves through the area and bringing drier air in behind it. If…

Hazy, Hot, & Humid !

Looks like a hot and humid weekend setting up for the region. Temps will climb into the lower 90s both days. Moisture will be on the increase so it’s going to feel more like the upper 90s. Scat’d afternoon showers and t-storms will develop each day. These storms should knock the heat off in spots. The weekend weather pattern continues…

Chance For Rain Returns

High clouds continue to stream overhead while it’s hot and dry at the surface.  A ridge of high pressure remains a big player in our weather.  The ridge will gradually work eastward allowing a southerly flow to set up. This will provide the fuel for daytime heating to ignite scat’d showers and t-storms.  Where storms do occur the heat will…

Mild Mornings & Hot Afternoons

A sunny and dry air mass continues to dominate our weather.  The dry air allows for mild mornings but hot afternoons.  Temperatures will steadily climb with mid 90s sticking around through the weekend. The chance for rain remains slim through Friday but moisture will be on the increase as high pressure slides to the east of us. Pop up showers…

The Heat Is On!

A sunny and dry air mass has taken control of our weather until further notice. The dry air will allow for fairly mild mornings but once we get into the afternoon the heat kicks in big time. High temps will reach the 90s for the remainder of the week and up coming weekend. We could even see a few days…

The Heat Is Coming Back!

We start the workweek out cloudy and wet but that’s all about to change.  A frontal boundary is sitting to our north tonight. Ahead of this boundary we can’t rule out scat’d showers and t-storms through late evening. Another front will swing southward tomorrow and behind this boundary is much drier air.  This will set us up for a sunny…

Rain On The Way!

Our hot and mainly dry weather pattern is about to be interrupted.  A frontal boundary approaches and we get several rounds of showers and t-storms over the weekend.  A few of the storms could be strong but we don’t expect anything more than that to occur.  The main threats: lightning, small hail, gusty winds, and brief heavy rainfall.  Rainfall amounts…

Chance for rain increases!

More hot and humid conditions with little if any rain activity this evening.  Storms are firing all around us but so far limited development around us.  We get a repeat of today again tomorrow but over the weekend the chance for rain increases. Scat’d showers and t-storms will be more numerous both days. The clouds and rain activity will help…
