Gov. Ivey awards grant to monitor seizures and forfeitures

Gov. Kay Ivey has awarded a $38,336 grant to establish a statewide standard for law enforcement agencies to report seizures and forfeitures. Arrest Made in Multi-County Burglary Investigation

The Greenville Police Department and Butler County Sheriff’s Department have been working together to investigate a series of residential burglaries and thefts that have occurred between March 20th and April 7th.  The Greenville PD investigated three house burglaries and one trailer burglary during that time frame. Staton Prison Inmate Shot in Failed Escape Attempt

Prison officials say an Alabama inmate who scaled a razor-topped fence during an escape attempt was shot and wounded.
