Watkins-Smith Wins School Board Run-off

In Montgomery County, there was a runoff for the District 7 seat on the board of education. Arica Watkins-Smith won the Democratic nomination over incumbent Roberta Collins.

Arica Watkins-Smith got 58.4 percent over Collins’ 41.5 percent. Collins was appointed to the board to fill Beverly Ross’ seat after she passed away last year.
