A moment of silence is planned for noon on Tuesday, Sept. 7, to remember those who have died of COVID-19 in Alabama.
The Greek orthodox church held their annual labor day barbecue giving out traditional Greek food to the community including camp stew, pit-smoked Boston butts and their delicious Greek pastries. The event has been so successful that they have been able to have this barbecue for 73 years.
Members of the Darby family had no where else to turn when they fled their home in New Orleans and ended up in Prattville. Thanks to Alabama News Network's viewers, they received food, clothes and money for a hotel room.
