Brantley boys basketball beat J.F. Shields 57-49 to advance to the AHSAA State Championships
The fatal crash happened on Crenshaw County Road 57, approximately 7 miles north of Brantley.
Several local teams looked to reach the state championship game later this week.
PEPSI LACEUP: Pike Road, Montgomery Academy and Sweet Water will advance to the state high school football finals.
