A single-vehicle crash at 1:15 a.m on Jan. 4, has claimed the life of a Mathews man. Alabama State University is mourning the loss of one its students. Police say Freshman, Jarrett Mumford, died in following a two car wreck outside of Atlanta. It happened Sunday night in Union City, Georgia. Two others, including Mumford’s 16 year old brother Jaylen, also died.
