A woman who claimed she was abducted after stopping her car on Interstate 459 in Hoover to check on a wandering toddler has pleaded guilty to charges of giving false information to law enforcement.
A judge in Hoover has found a woman guilty of two misdemeanor charges connected to a faked abduction in July which attracted national attention.
Hoover police have filed criminal charges against Carlee Russell, who confessed to fabricating a story that she was kidnapped after stopping to check on a toddler she saw walking on the side of the interstate.
Hoover police say the attorney for Carlee Russell says she was not kidnapped.
