Gov. Kay Ivey is sending more Alabama teams to help with hurricane recovery efforts in Florida and North Carolina.
In Montgomery, 9/11 isn’t just a day to remember lives lost, it’s also a time to honor those who protect us.
“Our hope and our goal is for this to never happen here; but should it happen, we feel confident that we’re going to be prepared and respond in an appropriate manner,” stated Captain James Harry of the Prattville Police Department.
The event took place at Sweet Creek Farm Market in Pike Road where the public were invited to come out and see up close First Responders and State Trooper Vehicles, while also giving a donation toward the Alabama Kidney Foundation.
National Public Safety Telecommunications Week was held April 11 through April 17th. Four members of the telecommunications department received awards today including dispatcher of the year and supervisor of the year.
