Alabama State Troopers say a Selma man was hit by a car and killed Friday afternoon. The victim is identified as 50 year old Adrian Jay Stubbs. Authorities say a Selma man who was reported missing over the weekend has been found safe. 21-year-old Ja’Terrious Peasant had last been seen last week, when he left his home in the 800 block of 2nd Avenue. Alabama Unemployment Stays Above National Average

National rate is 3.7. Alabama rate is 4.1%

“The preliminary, seasonally adjusted October unemployment rate is 4.1%, unchanged from September’s rate, and above October 2017’s rate of 3.8%.” The Alabama Department of Labor reports no change in the unemployment rate in October.
