Local bands hit the stage at the train shed with a variety of music Friday night bringing in fans of all ages.

“Well, it’s Friday evening, a beautiful night, so why not come out and enjoy great weather, great music, family friendly,” said Tina Joly.

“My girlfriend heard about it on the radio that there was a lot of activity going on, a lot of jazz music and so forth. And we kinda like that music, so we decided to come on down,” said Greg Jones.

Organizers hope it will attract more than just area residents.

“It’s a great thing for the city of montgomery for everybody throughout the river region. Kinda great event also because we have the AHSAA baseball tournament in town with a lot of tourists in Montgomery,” said organizer Ken Reynolds.

But the music doesn’t stop here… it will continue Saturday on the riverfront with a full evening of bands.

“Everyone has something they are going to enjoy. You are gonna hear something if you stay that you really dig,” said Ken Cummings, President of Montgomery Area Music Association.

Brewfest will be from 3:00- 6:00pm Saturday.  It is 20 dollars to get in.
River Jam begins at 4:30pm, which is free to the public.
