Pike Co. Rodeo This Weekend

More than one hundred cowboys will saddle up at the Pike County rodeo this weekend.Â
Â
This is the twenty second consecutive rodeo that’s rolled into Pike County.
Â
The Pike County Cattlemen’s Association puts on the rodeo. And they say this year’s rodeo will have more family fun with a western festival for the kids before the rodeo on Saturday.Â
Â
Proceeds from the rodeo benefit youth agriculture programs.Â
Â
Exec. Director Pike Co. Cattlemen’s Assoc. Ed Whatley said, “Entertainment and the rodeo is great family entertainment. And this is a community effort. All the cities Troy, Brundidge, Goshen, Banks all these areas are really supportive and always have been. County government…it’s going to be a fun time.”
Â
The rodeo starts tonight at 7. The western festival will start tomorrow at 5 p.m. and then the finals for the rodeo will start at 7 p.m.Â
Â
All events are at Cattleman park off highway 231 in between Brundidge and Troy.
