NCAA, Microsoft team up to help fans pick tournament games

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – The NCAA and Microsoft will team up to help college basketball fans fill out tournament brackets.

On Thursday, NCAA officials said the search engine Bing has been named the official bracketologist of the NCAA and will use its technology to help predicts winners and losers in this year’s tourney.

Bing Predicts relies on more than a decade of NCAA statistical data to help fans make their picks – even in those pesky tournament pools that the association has fought against for years because of its staunch stance against gambling.

The NCAA also plans to release a new universal app that allows fans to live stream games on Windows 10 phones, tablets and PCs.

Remember, you can watch March Madness on Montgomery’s WAKA-CBS8.
