MPS has Three Schools in the Top 25 for ACT Scores in Alabama

Montgomery Public Schools has three of the top 25 high schools in the state when it comes to composite ACT scores, including Alabama’s #1 school.

Loveless Academic Magnet Program is tops in the state with a composite score of 28 – besting the number two school by two points. Tied for number 11 are Booker T. Washington Magnet High School and Brewbaker Technology Magnet School with composite scores of 22.

The list was compiled by the Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama from the 2015 ACT test. According to the source, the state’s composite score is 20.6, just slightly lower than the national average of 21. A perfect score is 36. The ACT score is used to predict a student’s college readiness.
