Montgomery Couple Wanted for Capital Murder Captured

Image (4)The United States Marshal’s Gulf Coast Fugitive Taskforce officially notified CrimeStoppers that Cymone Thompson and Kierro Nelson has been taken into custody.

On Wednesday April 27, white male, Jordan Wilson was found shot inside of his vehicle located in the 3200 block of Virginia Pines Lane, Montgomery, Alabama. Wilson succumbed to his injuries as a result of the shooting.

The Montgomery Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division (CID) investigated the homicide and identified the suspects as Kierro Nelsonand Cymone Thompson. Warrants for Capital Murder were secured for their arrest and the Montgomery Police Department CID requested the United States Marshal Service Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF) to locate and arrest them.

During the fugitive investigation, GCRFTF investigators received information that Thompson and Nelson fled the Montgomery area and with the assistance of Central Alabama Crime Stoppers the two were aired in central Alabama and Atlanta, Ga areas.

During the investigation, GCRFTF investigators developed information that Thompson and Nelson had fled to Long Island, New York. This information was sent to U.S. Marshals with the New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force.

On Saturday, May 30 investigators with New York/New Jersey task force located and arrested Thompson and Nelson in Hempstead, New York. They were then placed into the Nassau County Jail awaiting extradition back to Montgomery.
