Montgomery’s JaMychal Green to host youth hoops clinic Saturday

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AlabamaNews.Net) – Montgomery native and current Memphis Grizzlies forward JaMychal Green is coming home, as he’s set to host a free youth basketball clinic Saturday, August 13th at George Washington Carver High School from 9 AM-3 PM. The free clinic will be followed by a luncheon with the campers

Green, a University of Alabama graduate, credits similar clinics during his youth that helped piqued his interest in the game of basketball.

The camp will offer campers, ages 8-14, one-on-one personalized instruction with JaMychal and an ensemble of local coaches.

JaMychal’s non-profit foundation, ” Forever My Brother’s Keeper ” has partnered with local youth organizations to invite 60 campers to attend the camp.

Beyond individualized basketball instruction for each camper, attendeees will receive a NIKE Forever My Brother’s Keeper Basketball camp T-shirt, Nike back to school bag, lunch, individual photos, and autograph opportunities.

With a 5:1 camper-to-coach ratio, participants will receive personalized instruction and learn the fundamental skills of basketball, ranging from ball handling and rebounding, to post
moves and team offense.

Additionally, the clinic consists of basketball drill stations, games, and individual evaluation for campers looking to take their game to the next level.

The First Annual ” Forever My Brother’s Keeper ” Basketball Clinic seeks to help campers fully realize their potential on and off the court in an enriching, fun and safe environment that
encourages teamwork, self-confidence, respect and dedication to the game of basketball.
