Deontae Lawson named a Semi-Finalist for the 2023 Butkus Award

Alabama Linebacker, Deontae Lawson, has been named one of the twelve semi-finalists for the 2023 Butkus Award.
The Butkus Award is given out annually to the nation’s top Linebacker in both college and high school.
So far this season, Lawson ranks second on Alabama in tackles where he has tallied 52 with 3.5 of those being for a loss and two sacks.
Four Alabama Players have been awarded the Butkus Award; Derrick Thomas (1988), Rolando McClain (2009), C.J. Mosely (2013), and Reuben Foster (2016.)
