Three members of the Tide receive SEC Individual Honors

Three members of the Crimson Tide have been selected for individual awards from the SEC.

Junior Linebacker for the Tide, Dallas Turner has earned SEC Defensive Player of the Year. During the 2023 season, Turner recorded an impressive fifty total tackles with 26 of those being solo tackles. Turner also recorded nine sacks on the season and two forced fumbles.

Earning the SEC Freshman of the Year Award was none other than Alabama’s star defensive back Caleb Downs. In his first season with the Tide, Downs put up impressive numbers such as leading the team with 99 total tackles and 64 solo tackles. Downs also had two interceptions this season against Mississippi State and Texas A&M.

The final member of Alabama’s Football Team to earn an individual accolade from the conference office was senior place kicker, Will Reichard. This season Reichard earned the title of the NCAA’s leading scorer. Just during the 2023 alone, Reichard has put up 113 points for the Crimson Tide and has a season long field goal of 51 yards.
