Alabama’s Women’s Basketball Team defeated Stephen F. Austin 74-69 to improve to 9-2 on the season.

Saturday’s game was a big one for Alabama’s Aaliyah Nye as she posted 22 points and set a new career high for three-pointers in a game with seven. Nye was also able to score her 200th three-pointer during Saturday’s game as well.

Sarah Ashlee Barker, Jessica Timmons, and Essence Cody also posted big stats too during Saturday’s game. Barker logged 21 points, Timmons put up eleven points, and Cody ten points.

“I just am so proud of our team’s toughness and character down the stretch, making shots, getting stops and making the right decisions on both sides of the ball. I thought we had some people really step up defensively and got critical stops and today’s going to make us a lot better. I think we can learn a lot from today,” says Head Coach Kristy Curry
