Troy adds Caleb Carbine and Re’quan Boyette to the football coaching staff
Troy Football
Troy Head Football Coach, Gerad Parker, continues to add names to his coaching staff with the addition of a pair of offensive coaches. Caleb Carbine, a former Trojan, will take over the offensive line, while Re’quan Boyette is set to take over coaching the running backs.
Before taking the job at Troy, Carbine spent last season alongside Parker at Notre Dame as one of their senior offensive analysts. Carbine served in that role for one season where he was a a part of one of their best offensive performances in program history. Last season Carbine helped the Fighting Irish to an average of 39.2 points a game (7th nationally.) The Fighting Irish also ranked 9th in the nation for passing efficiency and 29th in total offense.
While Carbine played college football in Alabama, he also has experience coaching in the state as well. Before taking the job at Notre Dame, Carbine spent time at North Alabama where he spent one season as their offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator. However, his coaching career began at Troy in 2016 as a Graduate Assistant where he worked with the special teams.
As a player, Carbine transferred to Troy in 2011 from North Alabama and played with the Trojans through 2014.
Boyette will begin coaching the running backs at Troy with several years of coaching experience.
Most recently, Boyette spent two seasons at East Carolina. During his first season with the Pirates, Boyette coached the outside receivers and then last season coached the running backs.
Before his coaching stint at East Carolina, Boyette spent ten seasons at Duke which includes his time as a player (2005-09.)
