Troy Athletics announces that their annual Letterwinner Day is set for Saturday, January 27th. On this day they will also be honoring two of the best teams in program history. The teams being honored will include the 1993-94 team and the 2003-04 team, as well as some other players who will go down as some of the best Trojans to don the uniform.

The 1993-94 team is celebrating their 30th anniversary. This team went on to win the East Coast Conference Championship. Some of the leaders of this roster include Cameron Boozer who averaged 18.6 points and 8.7 rebounds and Chris Williams who averaged 17.1 points and 6.8 rebounds.

The 2003-04 team also has an impressive resume which includes a 24-7 record overall and an 18-2 conference record. During this season the Trojans were the Atlantic Sun Conference Regular Season Champions and earned a invite to the National Invitational Tournament.

“It’s always an exciting opportunity to welcome back former Trojans and their families who have helped pave the way for this program and helped build our rich history and tradition for excellence,” head coach Scott Cross said. “I look forward to welcoming and celebrating all the players who have left an impact on Troy Basketball, especially the 1993-94 and 2003-04 conference champion teams that have set the standard for what we want to achieve year in and year out. It’s a great opportunity for our players to learn what it means to be a Trojan.”

“This is always one of the most favorite games of the year as we welcome back and honor our former great basketball players,” Director of Athletics Brent Jones said. “We look forward to having an amazing game and celebrating our championship teams.”

The Trojans will take on South Alabama on January 27th.
