Troy Women's Basketball
Tai’Sheka Porchia, Ja’Mia Hollings, and Makayia Hallmon all earn All-Sun Belt honors. Porchia gets the nod for All-Sun Belt first team while Hollings picks up second team and finally Hallmon earns herself a spot on the third team.
“In a fourteen-team conference, and only fifteen all-conference positions available, it is quite a feat to have three players selected from a single team,” head coach Chanda Rigby said. “I’m really proud of Tai, Stix, and Mae Mae. I’m thankful that their hard work and determination are honored by being selected to the Sun Belt All-Conference Team.”
Porchia has been a staple in the Trojans lineup all season leading the team in scoring with her 28 starts. Porchia also has the third highest field goal percentage in the Sun Belt and stacks up 57th in the nation with a 52.5. Porchia also ranks in the top 20 in the nation in offensive rebounds.
Hollings posts an impressive stat being the only player in the conference to average a double-double. Throughout the season Hollings has averaged 14.6 points a game, has posts 22 double digit games, and 11 double-doubles.
This season will be Hallmon’s third consecutive season receiving All-Sun Belt honors. During her 26 starts this season she has averaged 15.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1 steal.
