The 2023-24 regular season for the Trojans was one to remember on the court, and the fan base helped play a part in that. During this season at Troy the Trojans saw record breaking attendance, ticket sales, and revenue. Between attendance, ticket sales, and revenue there was a 189 percent increase from 2022-23 for Troy Athletics.

“Trojan Arena once again proved to be one of the best home court environments in the Sun Belt Conference thanks to our amazing fans and students,” Director of Athletics Brent Jones said. “Our men’s and women’s basketball programs won 24 games in Trojan Arena this season in front of some of the best crowds in Trojan Arena history throughout the season. On behalf of Troy Athletics and our basketball programs, I want to thank Trojan Nation for a record-breaking basketball season.”

For the sixth time in the last seven years, Troy men’s basketball broke its highest average attendance, surpassing last season’s mark of 3,036 to 3,052 to rank 137th in the country and sixth in the SBC. During the 2023-24 season, the Trojans saw their second highest single game attendance in program history when the Trojans hosted South Alabama. The total attendance for that game was 5,110. This was also the highest attended game during the Scott Cross era.

“Trojan Arena was rocking all year long, and our fans gave us a huge home-court advantage,” head coach Scott Cross said. “We were able to win 15 games inside of Trojan Arena this season, and our fans were our sixth man all year long. Trojan Fans: we cannot thank you enough for showing up & being loud every single time that we played. I cannot wait to run it back again next year. I know that Trojan Arena will be rocking even more next season. Thank you so much, Trojan Nation.”

For the women during the 2023-24 season, the Lady Trojans saw five single-games that broke into the top ten in program history for attendance. As a whole for the season (at home), the Lady Trojans averaged 2,403 fans and totaled 31,243 throughout the season which was a 16.3% increase from 2022-23.

“We have created so many fantastic memories throughout this season,” head women’s basketball coach Chanda Rigby said. “Representing Troy University through the sport of women’s basketball is both an honor and a privilege. Undoubtedly, our best experiences this year were inside of Trojan Arena, playing in front of our Trojan fans. The love and support we felt at every home game was amazing. Fans, we love you and we thank you.”
