The Lady Trojans earn a berth to participate in the WNIT

The Troy Lady Trojans will make their first post season appearance since 2022 in the WNIT where Troy will face the winner of Stetson and FIU. The Lady Trojans 21-9, 15-3 SBC secures them the first round bye.

“We are thankful that we were selected to represent Troy in this national tournament,” head coach Chanda Rigby said. “Our goal is to, first, be the first women’s basketball team from Troy to win a game in a national tournament. Then, we want to fight our way through the bracket and win the championship.”

The last time the Lady Trojans earned a spot in a post season tournament they faced Alabama in the WNIT and lost 82-79. This year the Lady Trojans look to pick up their first D-I win in a post season tournament in program history.
