Shots fired inside Eastdale Mall in Montgomery
Action 8 News has confirmed that shots were fired inside Eastdale Mall on Saturday afternoon.
We have spoken with mall General Manager Richard Holman. He told us the shots were fired at around 4PM near the barber shop and Gold Valley Jewelry. That’s on the side of the mall with the movie theatres.
Holman said that no one was hurt, but there is broken glass, including inside the jewelry store.
The mall has been shut down for the rest of the night.
Holman said there is video of the shots being fired, which has been turned over to Montgomery police. He said police are trying to match up the video to a possible suspect.
Action 8 News has contacted Montgomery police to get more on the investigation. Sgt. Tina McGriff said that there is no further information available at this time.
