Alabama’s matchups set for the SEC/ACC Challenge

Alabama’s matchups have been set for the SEC/ACC Challenge happening this December. The men’ team will take on North Carolina while the women’s team will take on Cal.
The men’s team will travel to Chapel Hill for a rematch of the 2024 Elite Eight. The last time these two teams met in the NCAA Tournament the Tide came away with a narrow 89-87 win. This will be the 16th meeting between the two programs and North Carolina leads the series 8-7. However, since Nate Oats has been at the helm, the Tide boasts a 2-1 record against the Tar Heels.
The women’s team is set to travel out to Berkeley, California to take on the Cal Golden Bears. This will be the second meeting between the Tide and the Bears in December and Alabama has the advantage 1-0.
Last year in the SEC/ACC Challenge the Tide lost to Syracuse 79-73. Under Kristy Curry Alabama is 6-3 against ACC opponents.
The men’s team will take on North Carolina on December 4th while the women will play Cal the following day on December 5th.
