Pay It Forward: Theresa Jones of Greenville
Theresa Jones leads an organization called Selfless Care Ministry where she has bags filled with necessity items ready to give away.
“Teresa goes around sometimes riding in her car with little packs-ziploc bags of snacks and water for the homeless. Every year she does that,” said her friend Celeste Crenshaw.
“I think Teresa could be a role model for a lot of people because, in the world we live in today, we need so much love and she knows how to give that love without being grudgingly or without being-looking for anything in return. That’s not who she is, she is a very free-hearted person,” said Crenshaw.
And that’s why her friends wanted to nominate her for the Vance Law Firm Pay It Forward award.
“Because she does so much for the homeless and she’s just a good person in general. She’s been a good person ever since I’ve known her, because I haven’t known her long, but she’s been a nice person, and she does whatever she can to help people. She’d give them her last if she has to,” said her nominator Lynda McCall.
“It’s a blessing to be able to give back to the community and I love what I do. You know, just give. We all should be a blessing to others especially when we are blessed,” said Jones.
