Two people killed, one injured in Coosa County crash
Two people have been killed in a wreck on U.S. Highway 231 in Coosa County that left another person injured.
Alabama State Troopers say 34-year-old Kelderick Williams of Vestavia Hills was killed when the car he was driving was hit by an SUV driven by 73-year-old James Thrasher of Oxford.
Investigators say Williams was not using a seat belt and died at the scene.
State troopers say a passenger in the SUV, 70-year-old Linda Thrasher of Oxford, was taken to Elmore County Hospital in Wetumpka where she died.
James Thrasher was taken to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery for treatment.
The wreck happened at about 5PM yesterday about six miles south of Rockford.
