ACTION 8 UPDATE: Montgomery police make another arrest in 2024 homicide

Montgomery police say they’ve made an additional arrest in a 2024 homicide investigation.

Police say they have charged 21-year-old Jaquon Houston of Montgomery with murder and two counts of robbery. He is being held without bond.

Houston is charged in the November 22 shooting death of 33-year-old Marcelino Hernandez of Montgomery. 

As Action 8 News has reported, Hernandez was shot and killed in the 4800 block of Park Towne Way, which is just off Troy Highway.

In December, police arrested 19-year-old Ja’Kyeri McCovery of Montgomery, who is also charged in the shooting and is being held without bond.
