Alabama’s Jocelyn Briski named Preseason All-SEC

Alabama sophomore pitcher Jocelyn Briski was named to the 2025 Preseason All-SEC Softball Team, it was announced Thursday by the Southeastern Conference.

The Phoenix, Ariz., native battled through injury for the first portion of her debut campaign in 2024 before returning in time for conference play. She was twice named SEC Freshman of the Week, becoming the first Crimson Tide freshman to win the award multiple times since Montana Fouts in 2019. She earned two wins during the NCAA Regional round, taking a no-hitter into the seventh inning in the opener against USC Upstate and pitching 4.0 innings in the championship game vs. Southeastern. She threw in all three games of the Knoxville Super Regional against third-seeded Tennessee, earning the win in the deciding game three with just one run allowed over 6.1 innings pitched to send Alabama to the Women’s College World Series.

Heading into the 2025 season, she is ranked No. 48 on Softball America’s Preseason Top 100 player rankings and 63rd overall on D1 Softball’s D100 rankings and 19th among pitchers.

Alabama softball opens its season Feb. 7-9 in Tucson, Ariz., at the Candrea Classic.
