Pay It Forward: Brian Smith of Montgomery
Brian Smith is the manager at Eastdale Mall. He goes above and beyond every day to help make a difference not just at the mall, but in the community as well.
Brian Smith and his nonprofit “The BlueHeart Foundation 334” helps mentor Marching Band students. He also helps underprivileged families and youth in the Montgomery area by doing free school supply giveaways in honor of kids who have passed away.
Last year, he became the manager at Eastdale Mall, and his servant’s heart is evident there as well.
“Brian is a very admirable supervisor to work for,” said Japonica Dennis. “Working for him every day, when he comes in you pretty much know that he’s gonna be encouraging. He’s gonna be inspiring.”
Smith is trying to bring positive changes to the mall by making it more family oriented and kid friendly.
For all he does in the mall and beyond, Stewart Vance of the Vance Law Firm is paying it forward to him with $333.
“I do a lot and I don’t want anything in return, but being recognized for something, it keeps me going. Probably gonna be shocked for the rest of the week, but I’m surprised and thankful for it at the same time,” said Smith.
