Pay It Forward: Kai Weekly of Wetumpka
Kai Weekly is the leader of a ministry called Celebrate Recovery at Santuck Baptist Church.
“I nominated Kai because she is so gifted by God with leadership, service, hospitality. On Thursday nights people come because of their hurts, habits, and hang ups and addiction and maybe gone through tragedy. Kai loves so well. There would be less brokenness in the world if everybody loved like Kay weekly does,” said her nominator Carol Coram.
The ministry has been going on for more than 20 years. And it has made a huge impact on the people there.
“She has led me to the Lord and encourages me and holds me accountable. She’s so kind and loving. There’s nobody else more deserving than her,” said Nikki Strouse.
Morgan Bailey “you look up salt to the Earth in the dictionary and you’re gonna see a picture of K she’ll be there. John may be in the background, but she’ll be there. They are just leaders in the church while I was here. One of the places they excelled was in salt (small Group) for Sunday school ministry. They were the model for what that looked like and I can’t tell you how many six or more classes spun off of their class because they did such a wonderful job.”
that’s why today Stewart Vance of the Vance Law Firm has a surprise for her.
Weekly says she wants to share with others how they, too, can find hope.
“Just some things in my life the Lord has brought me through, and I just wanna give it back and encourage others that have struggles, hurts, habits, and hang ups because I know there’s hope. And we have a great ministry team here, and a community, and everybody jumps in and helps, and it’s been a joy. Doesn’t seem like work, just joy,” said Weekly.
