MAX4Kids Foundation holds annual charity clay shoot
Hundreds gathered in Montgomery today to raise money while practice their clay shooting skills.
The MAX4KIDS Foundation’s 8th Annual Charity Clay Shoot took place at the Lower Wetumpka Shotgun Sports Club.
Participants and volunteers got to shoot at 18 different stations in teams of four. The money raised will support local children’s organizations and provide scholarships for high school seniors.
“We do many events throughout the year, and this is actually our second largest event that we do, so it is absolutely important and vital to the efforts that we are doing for the community to bring funds in so we can support others in their mission to make an impact in an areas that we serve,” Carrie Rauch of the MAX4KIDS Foundation said.
Action 8 News was one of 23 sponsors for the event, with our Sports Director Lindsey Bonner there for all of the fun. Prizes were given out to the best shooter, the 1st and 2nd place teams and to six raffle winners.
The next MAX4KIDS Foundation charity event will be a golf tournament set for October 15.
