A record 3,892 fans packed Riddle-Pace Field on Tuesday night as No.23 Alabama baseball rolled to a 10-2 win at No. 19 Troy.

Alabama scored seven runs in the first two innings as it closes its non-conference midweek slate of games with a perfect 13-0 record.

Alabama out-hit Troy 14-8, scoring four runs in the first against Trojan starter Jacob Roettgen and three against righty Adam Falinski in the second. Falinski settled in, allowing just one run over the next four innings. The righty matched his season high of 5.0 innings pitched with five strikeouts, which was one shy of his season-high six punchouts in Troy’s win at Mississippi State on February 25.

Snell largely fueled the Alabama offensive output, finishing 4-for-5 with a home run and a career-best five RBI. Justin Lebron reached base in all three of his plate appearances, managing a 2-for-2 line with a double, one home run and a hit-by-pitch. Garrett Staton drove in three runs as part of his 2-for-4 night, with Coleman Mizell adding an RBI.

JT Blackwood opened the game for the Tide, logging 3.0 scoreless innings while scattering a pair of hits to go with two strikeouts. Aeden Finateri was the first man out of the bullpen and was responsible for one earned run across his 2.2 innings, managing two strikeouts. Austin Morris entered the game with the bases-loaded and two outs in the sixth, though the big right-hander induced a groundout to end the frame. Morris totaled 2.1 scoreless innings, recording two strikeouts while not surrendering a hit.

From Alabama Baseball Head Coach Rob Vaughn

“Great team win against a really good team tonight. We were excited to get back on the field with a tough finish to Sunday at Vanderbilt, and the boys came out ready to go. This group just went through the whole 2025 season and won each of their midweek games. This is not an easy feat, especially with the teams we line up against. Proud of the effort wrapping up midweeks and excited to compete against a really good Georgia team this weekend.”

From Troy Baseball Head Coach Skylar Meade

On the pitching…
“If you sat there and said ‘hey, we have eight K’s and two walks’ before the game, you’d sign up for that. We got in some porous counts in the first inning. That’s just the reality. 2-0’s and 3-1’s. We got, got in that first. We go to Falinski, back-to-back HBPs and then the best bat-to-ball guy in the SEC [Snell] is going to get you. I commend Adam for what he did. Him and Tapper really protected us for tomorrow, going five and three innings respectively. That’s going to prove pivotal.”
On the crowd at Riddle-Pace Field…
“It was great. It’s what we hope to see all the time. You look at what we’re capable of doing. I was really proud of Troy.”
