Pay It Forward: James Marshall of Montgomery
Dr. James Marshall is celebrating 47 years as the pastor of Rosa Parks Ave Church of God. But his work extends beyond the pulpit as he has been a consistent advocate for social justice, bringing unity and support during times of hardship.
One of the members of the congregation, Cynthia Mull, read a letter to him and his wife.
“Your unwavering commitment to the gospel, your tireless labor in the word, and your sincere love for
God’s people reflect the very heart of Christ. Without hesitation or compromise you have preached the truth in love, stood in the faith, and led by example,” said Mull.
For all he does in his church and the community, today Stewart Vance of the Vance Law Firm is paying it forward to him.
For Pastor Marshall, his desire to pay it forward in life comes from a higher calling.
“The calling of the Lord on my life is to spread the gospel and to help people. That has been my mission and it has been a great mission for me because I’m doing it in the name of the Lord,” said Marshall.
