Alabama State wins home opener 37-9 over Miles College

Alabama State defeated Miles College 37-9 in its home opener of the 2025 season.

Quarterback Andrew Body completed 14 of 16 passes for 251 yards and four touchdowns. Jalen Jones had four catches for 118 yards and two scores, including a 61-yarder in the second quarter.  Ajai Harrell and Dylan Djete also had touchdown catches.

Alabama State outgained Miles 407-238 on offense, averaging 8.7 yards per play.

Miles scored its only touchdown in the third quarter.

Alabama State is now 2-1. The Hornets will next face SWAC opponent Florida A&M on the road on Saturday, September 27.
