Pay It Forward: Floyd Bell of Hayneville
Floyd Bell is a deacon at Mt. Moriah #2 Missionary Baptist Church in Mosses, Alabama. He helps serve the elderly in his community, and he had quite a crowd there when Stewart Vance came to surprise him.
He even visits people in the nursing home and jails and sings and prays with them.
“Love helping people been doing it all my life. My mother started off doing it. I guess everything fell back on Floyd,” said Bell.
Not only that, but Bell makes sure to also deliver food to the elderly and take them back and forth to the doctor.
“I see Floyd here and I see him doing a whole lot in this community, helping different ones. He leaves from the church and goes to the nursing home. He goes to the people’s houses and always helping someone. I want to say to Floyd, ‘keep doing that good work,'” said Mosses Mayor Harold Bell
