Two men charged with stealing cattle in Lowndes County

The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office says two men have been charged with stealing cattle.

On Monday, February 2, the sheriff’s office says it received a report that one bull and 10 cows valued at approximately $40,000 were stolen.

The sheriff’s office has arrested and charged Christopher Simmons and Calvin Jack Haigler with theft of property in the second degree and placed in the Lowndes County Jail. Investigators say they stole the cattle and were selling them.
