ACTION 8 UPDATE: Third arrest made in fires at Opelika childcare centers
ACTION 8 UPDATE: A third person has now been charged with arson in fires at two Opelika childcare centers.
Opelika police say 51-year-old Terrence Kareem Johnson of Tuskegee has been arrested on two counts of second-
degree arson.
As Action 8 News has reported, Opelika police arrested two other Tuskegee men on arson charges following the fires.
26-year-old Michael Leon Green and 28-year-old Dante Kharari Brundidge were arrested earlier this month.
Just before 3:30AM on January 13, Opelika firefighters responded to a fire at By His Grace Daycare & Learning Center at 311 South 6th Street. Just after 11:30PM on January 19, firefighters were called to a fire at the Children Palace Learning Center at 116 Columbus Parkway.
Both fires were put out without any injuries.
Investigators say they found glass mason jars filled with an accelerant at both locations.
