Man shot at Auburn apartment complex
Auburn police are investigating a shooting an apartment complex that injured a man.
It happened around 2:18 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of Shelton Mill Road.
Once officers arrived, they found the man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was taken to Piedmont Columbus Regional for medical treatment.
Auburn police say nearby schools were placed in a secure state as a precautionary measure, but it has since been lifted as investigators believe the suspect had fled the area in a vehicle.
