Rubber ducks hit the water in Millbrook for a good cause
MILLBROOK, Ala. (WAKA) – Hundreds of rubber ducks hit the water in Millbrook and it was for a good cause.
People from Millbrook and around the area lined the banks of Mill Creek Thursday to watch over 500 ducks race down the water in the annual Shana Faulkner Memorial Duck Race.
The event, hosted by the Millbrook Civitan Club, is not only a fun end of the summer event, it also raises money for local charities and community projects, while honoring the legacy of community member Shana Faulkner, who passed away in 2023.
The first place duck belonged to Hayes Harris. As the winner, he took home $500.
