Two arrested following gunfire in Montgomery
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WAKA) – Two people have been arrested following gunfire on Monticello Drive in Montgomery, according to ALEA.
According to ALEA, special agents assigned to the Metro Area Crime Suppression Unit (MACS) were patrolling in the area of Monticello Drive at around 10:45AM on Wednesday, September 16, when they heard gunfire.
They followed the sound of the gunfire to find a man who said a woman in a car had fired a gun at him. MACS found the car in the 5000 block of Monticello Drive, which is near the Eastern Boulevard intersection. They found four people inside with three guns.
ALEA says 35-year-old Erica Davidson of Montgomery was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment.
In addition, ALEA says 50-year-old Douglas Rogers of Huntsville was found to be wanted for a probation revocation warrant and was wanted for questioning by the Montgomery Police Department about two other shootings.
As Action 8 News recently reported, Rogers was taken into custody Thursday for a double shooting that happened in August on Lower Wetumpka Road.
Rogers was out on bond for first-degree robbery and was charged with certain persons forbidden to have a gun.
